Mark your calendars – the Penola Coonawarra Arts Festival is back for another unforgettable celebration of creativity, culture, and community! Since its inception in 1991, this much-loved Festival has showcased Penola’s rich literary heritage, vibrant arts scene, live music, film, theatre, children’s activities, and, of course, Coonawarra’s world-class wine.
This year’s theme, “Flourishing”, couldn’t be more fitting. As the Festival embarks on an exciting new chapter, 2025 marks the grand opening of its brand-new hub, Still Water Studio (45B Church Street, Penola). This fresh space will serve as a dynamic centre for exhibitions, openings and information.
The Festival’s renowned Art Prize is also evolving, with exciting changes set to inspire artists and audiences alike. For those looking to take part, entries for competitions and awards are now open – visit artsfestival.com.au for details.
With a full program launching in March 2025, now is the time to start planning your festival weekend. Accommodation in Penola and Coonawarra fills up quickly, so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.
